SDR and BDR jobs are entry-level seats, and the requirements are usually a wish list. Customer-facing work (retail, serving, teaching, recruiting, sports) counts. Your best move is to message one of the insiders below before you apply.
What you'd actually do: Cold call and run demos for a commercial real estate market data subscription, selling to investors, developers, appraisers and lenders, and close deals over the phone and video.
Most people just hit Apply. Do these first and you show up with someone on the inside.
A friendly message to a current rep is the best way to stand out. Ask about their experience, not for a referral.
Commercial real estate is one of the largest asset classes on earth and one of the last to go digital. Deals still get done over email threads, PDFs, and relationships nobody can search for. Crexi is the exchange betting that doesn't have to be true anymore: we're building the platform where an entire industry finds, evaluates, and closes deals, and we're betting hard on AI to get there faster than anyone thought this industry could move. There's no playbook for turning a trillion-dollar, relationship-driven industry into a modern marketplace which means the people building it get to write it.
The Account Executive, Data Sales is a quota-carrying inside sales role responsible for driving new revenue for Crexi Intelligence, our market data and analytics product for commercial real estate. Working from a high-velocity outbound motion, the AE prospects, demos, negotiates, and closes new business with investors, developers, appraisers, assessors, lenders, retailers, and other data-driven buyers. Success in this role is measured by consistent attainment of monthly revenue targets, disciplined pipeline management, and the ability to translate Crexi Intelligence’s analytical value into outcomes that matter to each buyer’s workflow. The AE is a self-starter who thrives on cold calls, owns the full sales cycle end-to-end, and is encouraged to develop and refine the playbook as the product and market evolve.
