Full job description
Who we’re looking for
As the Sales Development organization grows across HNA and Global markets, the SDR Team Lead will provide an additional layer of day-to-day leadership, coaching, and operational support for the team.
The Team Lead will work closely with the SDR Manager (Amanda Jo Arnold) to ensure SDRs receive consistent coaching, timely support, and reinforcement of established sales processes.
This position is intended to serve as the boots-on-the-ground leader for the SDR organization, allowing the SDR Manager to maintain ownership of overall team performance, strategy, hiring, career development, and organizational leadership while increasing the amount of hands-on coaching available to SDRs.
What you’ll be doing
Call Coaching & SDR Development
The Team Lead will serve as a primary resource for day-to-day SDR coaching. Responsibilities include:
- Conduct regular live call shadows with SDRs
- Coach cold calling, discovery, objection handling, qualification, and demo booking skills
- Reinforce CHAMP methodology and discovery standards
- Identify individual and team-wide coaching opportunities
- Share successful calls, messaging, and best practices across the team
- Partner with the SDR Manager to develop targeted coaching plans when performance gaps are identified
Salesforce & Process Excellence
The Team Lead will act as the team's first line of support for established SDR processes. This includes:
- Salesforce opportunity and activity hygiene
- CHAMP note quality
- Groove/cadence execution
- Lead management
- Reinforcing inbound and outbound processes established by leadership
The Team Lead should identify recurring process issues and bring those trends back to the SDR Manager rather than independently changing established processes.
Day-to-Day Team Leadership
The Team Lead will provide accessible leadership during the normal flow of the SDR workday. This includes:
- Answering day-to-day rep questions
- Helping SDRs troubleshoot prospecting challenges
- Supporting outbound Power Hours and call blocks
- Reinforcing priorities communicated by the SDR Manager
- Recognizing strong performance and sharing team wins
- Helping maintain accountability and team engagement
- Serving as an escalation point when SDRs need immediate assistance
The Team Lead should help remove blockers quickly so SDRs can spend more time dialing and less time waiting for manager availability.
New-Hire Ramp & Enablement
The Team Lead will play an active role in onboarding and developing new SDRs. They will partner and be involved in the onboarding process with our Enablement team. Responsibilities may include:
- Systems/process training
- Salesforce workflow training
- Call shadowing
- CHAMP certification
- Cold-call certification
- Competitor/battle-card reinforcement
- Providing additional support during ramp
The SDR Manager will continue to own the overall onboarding strategy and expectations, while the Team Lead helps execute and reinforce the program.
At Fieldwire, we’re looking for our next Sales Development Team Lead to have the following skills and experiences
- 3+ years of experience as a quota carrier in sales or business development
- Coachable, curious, and motivated by results
- Strong communication skills – written and verbal
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment
- Experience with outbound sales tools (Gong, 6Sense, Salesforce) a plus
- Interest in construction tech or SaaS is a bonus
Compensation:
