Your game plan for this job

0 of 5 done

Most people just hit Apply. Do these first and you show up with someone on the inside.

  1. 1
    Pick 2–3 people at Adaptive
We found 11 current reps: 4 SDRs, 6 AEs. SDRs reply the most; they were in your shoes recently. See them ↓
  2. 2
    Send a short, curious note
Ask about their experience, not for a referral. We write it for you, with the role and what Adaptive sells.
  3. 3
    Have a 15-minute chat
    Good questions for this role:
    • What was your path from SDR to where you are now?
    • How did you land the job? What stood out in your interviews?
    • The role is mostly outbound. How much is calling vs. email vs. LinkedIn?
    • The posting mentions HubSpot, Salesforce. How much of your day is in those tools?
  4. 4
    Apply, ideally with a referral
If the chat went well, ask if they'd refer you or point you to the hiring manager. Then apply and let them know so they can flag it.
  5. 5
    Prep for the role play
SDR interviews almost always end in a mock cold call. Practice with the Adaptive cheat sheet and the role-play guide.

Talk to someone at Adaptive before you apply

A friendly message to a current rep is the best way to stand out. Ask about their experience, not for a referral.

Full job description

What we do

Adaptive is a vertical AI company of 50, building the agentic operating system for the $2 trillion U.S. construction industry. We work with over 1,000 customers, partner with over 50 accounting firms, and have raised $26m from Emergence, a16z, and other top funds.

Why join us?

Win a massive category that's up for grabs.

Construction is among the least digitized industries left, and no AI king has been crowned. With our momentum, team, and backing, we are in position to be that company

Build a moat that compounds.

We orchestrate multi-stakeholder workflows across an industry that today runs on paper, email, and phone calls. Every process we manage generates data no one else has. That data makes each new use case easier to expand to, while building a compounding moat

Work with the rare team that can pull this off.

Winning here takes deep construction knowledge and deep AI fluency in the same room. That intersection is rare, and we have it with backgrounds across finance, technology, and construction

Serve the people building the world around you.

Your favorite local café. The new house on the corner. The massive new skyscraper at Central Park South. All built by our customers: skilled, creative people who have spent their lives bringing neighborhoods to life

Adaptive powers the construction CAS practices of leading accounting firms like

CLA, Pinion, and Melton & Melton

— and we’re just getting started.

We’re looking for a

Partner Account Executive

to own and grow our Partner ecosystem. In this role, you’ll be responsible for expanding our partnerships program and deepening relationships with existing partners — driving revenue and distribution through trusted industry relationships.

This is a full-cycle sales role: you'll prospect, pitch, close, and manage ongoing partner growth. If you’re excited about ownership, moving fast, and working in a high-impact environment, this role is for you.

What You’ll Do:

Drive partner acquisition

: Identify, prospect, and close new partnerships with accounting firms, fractional CFOs, consultants, and other key industry players.

Own the partner relationship

: Build trusted, long-term relationships with our partners to help them grow their business with Adaptive.

Enable partners

: Deliver enablement, training, and resources to activate and deepen partner adoption.

Hit quota and grow pipeline

: Proactively manage your sales pipeline and hit monthly and quarterly revenue targets.

Collaborate across teams

: Work closely with our Sales, Marketing, and Product teams to optimize the partner experience and capture feedback.

Champion Adaptive in the market

: Represent Adaptive at industry events, on partner calls, and in demos to position Adaptive as the go-to solution for construction financial clarity.

What We’re Looking For:

2–4 years of SaaS sales experience, with at least 2 years closing new business in a partnerships role

Proven track record of hitting or exceeding quota in a high-velocity environment

Experience selling to (or through) accounting firms, consultants, or channel partners is a major plus

Strong relationship builder with excellent communication and presentation skills

Highly motivated, self-starter mentality — you thrive with autonomy and ownership

Comfortable running a full-cycle sales motion: from cold outreach to negotiation to expansion

Curious and coachable: you seek feedback and act on it

Prior experience with HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar CRM a plus

Why You’ll Love It Here:

Build something meaningful: help reshape construction finance for thousands of builders

High impact: your work will directly accelerate Adaptive’s growth trajectory and shape Adaptive's partner strategy

Fast-moving, high-trust team culture

Competitive compensation, equity, and benefits

Work from Boston, with opportunities for travel and industry events

Backed by world-class investors including Andreessen Horowitz and Emergence Capital
