Most people just hit Apply. Do these first and you show up with someone on the inside.

  1. 1
    Pick 2–3 people at Poka
We found 5 current reps: 1 SDRs, 4 AEs. SDRs reply the most; they were in your shoes recently. See them ↓
  2. 2
    Send a short, curious note
Ask about their experience, not for a referral. We write it for you, with the role and what Poka sells.
  3. 3
    Have a 15-minute chat
    Good questions for this role:
    • What was your path from SDR to where you are now?
    • How did you land the job? What stood out in your interviews?
    • The role is mostly outbound. How much is calling vs. email vs. LinkedIn?
    • The posting mentions Salesforce. How much of your day is in those tools?
  4. 4
    Apply, ideally with a referral
If the chat went well, ask if they'd refer you or point you to the hiring manager. Then apply and let them know so they can flag it.
  5. 5
    Prep for the role play
SDR interviews almost always end in a mock cold call. Practice with the Poka cheat sheet and the role-play guide.

Talk to someone at Poka before you apply

A friendly message to a current rep is the best way to stand out. Ask about their experience, not for a referral.

Full job description

At Poka, we're changing how the world's industrial teams work — capturing the knowledge of their best people and putting it in every operator's hands.

Our connected worker platform is purpose-built for manufacturing and the wider industrial world, with industrial AI inside the shift, not on top of it. The result: frontline performance that becomes compounding knowledge and measurable impact — every shift, every site, every region.

We're proud to support global leaders like Nestlé, Bosch, Mars, and Danone across 3,000+ sites in 70+ countries. And as a fast-growing part of the IFS family, you'll join a team whose daily work directly shapes the platform behind how modern manufacturing gets done.

If you like a full pipeline, a fast sales cycle, and the satisfaction of closing deal after deal rather than waiting months on one, this is your kind of role.

Role overview

As a Commercial Account Executive, you'll bring Poka's connected worker platform to growing manufacturers across North America - running a high volume of deals end-to-end, from the first conversation through to close. You'll work smaller, faster-moving accounts than our Enterprise team, which means more at-bats, quicker cycles, and a real chance to build a track record fast.

You'll own your pipeline and your number: prospecting into the right accounts, running sharp discovery, building the business case, and closing with confidence. You'll do it alongside Sales Development, Solutions Consulting, Customer Success, and our IFS partners, with plenty of room to grow into larger patches as you prove yourself.

This is a great fit for someone with a couple of years of new business closing experience who wants to sharpen their craft in a fast-paced environment, with a real path to Enterprise or Strategic as they grow.

What you'll be doing

  • Build and manage a high-volume pipeline through outbound prospecting, market research, and close collaboration with the Sales Development team
  • Own the full sales cycle - discovery and needs analysis, product demonstrations, proposals, negotiation and close - moving deals at pace
  • Build clear, tailored business cases that connect Poka's platform to each prospect's operational priorities
  • Partner closely with Customer Success and cross-functional teams so customers move smoothly from signature to long-term value
  • Keep opportunity tracking, forecasting, and account activity accurate and current in Salesforce
  • Put AI to work in your day-to-day, research and account planning, conversation intelligence, drafting and CRM copilots, to sell smarter and spend more time with customers
  • Bring customer insights and market feedback to leadership to help shape go-to-market strategy and product direction
  • Contribute to lead generation initiatives and campaigns, drawing on your customer knowledge and industry trends
  • Represent Poka at trade shows, industry events, networking opportunities, and virtual conferences

What you bring

  • 3+ years of experience in B2B sales or a comparable Account Executive/closing role, with a track record of hitting or beating targets
  • Experience selling SaaS, or strong transferable sales skills and a genuine interest in manufacturing or industrial technology
  • Confidence running a full sales cycle independently and managing a busy pipeline
  • Strong communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills
  • A results-driven mindset and real hustle - you're motivated by volume and velocity, not just one big deal
  • A hands-on, curious approach to AI and modern sales tooling - you already use it to work smarter and are keen to keep learning
  • Excellent written and spoken communication and presentation skills in English
  • Based in the central or southern US, ideally near a major hub such as Dallas, Houston, Denver or Atlanta with great transport links and the ability and willingness to travel

We know great sellers come from varied paths. If you don't tick every box but you've got the drive and the numbers to back it up, we'd love to hear from you.

Why Poka

Manufacturers are under pressure to capture the knowledge of a retiring workforce, onboard new people faster, and get AI onto the floor in a way operators actually use, and Poka is one of very few platforms that does all three, already trusted at 3,000+ sites. You'll sell with the reach of IFS behind you and the pace and ownership of a growth-stage company, with a clear runway to grow your career as Poka grows across North America.

What we offer:

  • Scale-up energy with huge backing and a global yet close-knit team.
  • Generous vacation policy, additional paid days, and charity day.
  • Hybrid work policy - Employees who live within a 40 km radius of our Québec City office or a 15 km radius of our Montréal office are required to work in-office two days per week.
  • 100% remote work if you do not live within the radiuses mentioned above.
  • A truly flexible schedule that allows you to adapt your work hours.
  • Group insurance from day one (dental, medication, disability, travel, etc.) with employer contributions, including access to telemedicine and an Employee Assistance Program (EAP).
  • A retirement savings plan with employer contributions.
  • A MacBook Pro and a $500 home office allowance upon hiring.
  • A generous annual learning and development budget to support your growth, plus the tools and opportunities you need to keep progressing in your career.
  • A rewarding employee referral program for successful hires.
  • Tasty snacks available at all times in our offices (fresh fruits, snacks, pastries, coffee, tea, etc.)

*Certain benefits are exclusively accessible to employees in Canada.
