SDR and BDR jobs are entry-level seats, and the requirements are usually a wish list. Customer-facing work (retail, serving, teaching, recruiting, sports) counts. Your best move is to message one of the insiders below before you apply.
What you'd actually do: Research clinics, prospect by phone and email, follow up on inbound leads, and book qualified discovery meetings for the Account Executives selling voice AI.
Most people just hit Apply. Do these first and you show up with someone on the inside.
A friendly message to a current rep is the best way to stand out. Ask about their experience, not for a referral.

“Leading healthcare into the agentic era.”
Every day, patients call their clinic to schedule an appointment, ask a question, or request a prescription refill. Behind each conversation is a busy healthcare team coordinating people, information, and systems.
Taxo builds Voice AI agents that take on this administrative work. Our agents connect with EHR and practice management systems to help teams handle patient intake, complex scheduling, and refill requests, with reliable workflows and clear handoffs to people.
As a Sales Development Representative, you’ll help specialty clinics and healthcare groups take the first step toward working with Taxo. You’ll own prospect research, outreach, initial qualification, and meeting scheduling for assigned accounts and leads. Your work will create well-qualified sales conversations, with clear context for the colleague taking each opportunity through evaluation and closing.
Identify clinics and healthcare groups that fit our target customer profile. Find relevant contacts, understand their operations, and keep account information accurate.
Reach prospects through thoughtful calls, email, and professional networks. Follow up on assigned inbound, event, and partner leads with messages that connect Taxo’s capabilities to a relevant operational need.
Learn about the prospect’s workflow, pain points, relevant stakeholders, and timing. Apply agreed qualification criteria and distinguish a real opportunity from interest that needs more time.
Schedule qualified discovery meetings, confirm attendance, and share concise notes on the prospect’s needs, context, and next steps. Coordinate with the receiving seller so the customer does not have to start over.
Maintain reliable CRM records, follow-up tasks, and account ownership. Respect contact preferences and handle information carefully in a healthcare environment.
Test messages and sequences, share objections and customer feedback, and track responses, meetings held, accepted opportunities, and the quality of sourced pipeline. Use coaching and results to improve your approach.

You can research accounts, manage a queue of outreach and follow-ups, and keep accurate records without losing the personal context behind each conversation.
You want to understand clinic operations and how software buying decisions happen. You take feedback well, try new approaches, and stay thoughtful when prospects say no.
Experience with a CRM or sales engagement tools, healthcare or B2B software, cold calling, or an early-stage startup.
Healthcare teams should be able to spend more time on patients and less time on administration. Help us build the products and company that make that possible.
