Most people just hit Apply. Do these first and you show up with someone on the inside.

  1. 1
    Pick 2–3 people at 9fin
We found 12 current reps: 1 SDRs, 11 AEs. SDRs reply the most; they were in your shoes recently. See them ↓
  2. 2
    Send a short, curious note

  3. 3
    Have a 15-minute chat
    Good questions for this role:
    • What does a normal day look like for you?
    • How did you land the job? What stood out in your interviews?
    • The role is mostly outbound. How much is calling vs. email vs. LinkedIn?
    • The posting mentions Salesforce, Gong, Clay, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, HubSpot. How much of your day is in those tools?
  4. 4
    Apply, ideally with a referral
If the chat went well, ask if they'd refer you or point you to the hiring manager. Then apply and let them know so they can flag it.
  5. 5
    Prep for the role play
SDR interviews almost always end in a mock cold call. Practice with the 9fin cheat sheet and the role-play guide.

Talk to someone at 9fin before you apply

A friendly message to a current rep is the best way to stand out. Ask about their experience, not for a referral.

About 9fin

9fin is the AI platform powering global debt markets — the world’s largest asset class at over $145 trillion.

Debt markets are vast, global, and mission-critical, yet still run on fragmented data, PDFs, and manual workflows. 9fin replaces this broken infrastructure with a single platform that centralises proprietary credit data, deep analysis, and high-value workflows across global markets.

Today, 9fin powers teams at 300+ blue-chip institutions worldwide, including global banks, asset managers, private equity firms, law firms, and advisors. The business is scaling at exceptional speed, with rapid expansion in the US and best-in-class retention driven by deep workflow adoption.

We’re at a defining inflection point. With proven product-market fit and strong, global market pull, 9fin is accelerating toward becoming the category-defining platform for debt markets worldwide.

About the role

We are looking for a highly motivated and analytical SDR Manager to lead our growing SDR team. This individual will be responsible for managing and scaling our outbound pipeline generation efforts while coaching and developing a high-performing team of SDRs.

This is a high-impact role that will sit at the center of our go-to-market motion. You will work closely with Sales, Marketing, and Revenue Operations to refine our outbound strategy, improve conversion rates, and ensure the SDR team consistently generates qualified pipeline as we continue expanding our presence.

This role requires 3 days in our NYC office

What you'll work on

Every day is different, but here's an example of the kind of things you'll work on. You will:

Manage, coach, and develop a global team of SDRs responsible for generating qualified meetings and pipeline

Build and optimize outbound prospecting strategies across target accounts, regions and verticals, including signal-based programs driven by market events and 9fin content

Partner closely with AEs to create targeted outbound campaigns and define the SDR-to-AE handoff, including qualification standards (MEDDPICC-aligned), SLAs and meeting quality feedback

Work closely with Marketing, ABM and Demand Generation to plan and execute campaigns (content, events, webinars, and market-driven outreach)

Develop and refine SDR playbooks, messaging frameworks, and outreach cadences, and test what works by region

Design and scale AI-enabled prospecting and account research workflows (Claude, ChatGPT, Clay) across the team

Manage account tiering, territory and coverage models

Monitor and improve key SDR performance metrics including activity levels, meeting conversion rates, and pipeline generated, and work with RevOps to build reporting, forecasting, and performance dashboards

Own SDR hiring, onboarding and ramp

Build in-role career development plans and milestones for SDRs, with clear paths into AE and other GTM roles

Support SDR career development through training, Gong call reviews, role-plays, and regular coaching

Evaluate and manage the external tech tools used across Sales and Marketing teams (Clay, Gong Engage, LinkedIn Sales Navigator), and stay up to date with the key dynamics shaping the global Leveraged Finance, Private Credit, and Structured Finance markets

About you

This role will be a great fit if you have:

Prior experience managing SDR/BDR team(s) or leading sales development functions, ideally 2+ years management experience, including distributed or multi-region teams

4+ years of experience in sales development, pipeline generation, or related go-to-market roles

Strong experience with outbound prospecting strategies and pipeline generation, including ABM-aligned and signal-based outbound

Experience working with Salesforce (or other CRM systems), Gong (Engage or other sales engagement platforms), Clay, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Hubspot, lead generation platforms, and Excel/G Suite

AI fluency, with hands-on experience using Claude, ChatGPT or similar tools to build end-to-end workflows and skills for prospecting and account research

Strong history of working cross-functionally across Sales, Marketing, RevOps and Product

Demonstrated ability to coach and develop high-performing SDRs, with a track record of hiring, ramping and promoting them

Working knowledge of MEDDIC/MEDDPICC and how to coach SDRs to it

Ability to analyze large volumes of data, run structured tests, draw insights, and present clear recommendations

Excellent organizational and time management skills with strong attention to detail

High level of initiative and a strong desire to build and improve scalable processes in a fast-scaling environment

Interest in capital markets, credit or financial data

Our benefits

We’re a scaling start up and we enjoy sharing our success, when the company succeeds, we always reinvest that in our people. We also offer huge amounts of responsibility, an abundance of opportunity for growth and a platform to truly excel.

Competitive Salary: $105,000-$147,000

Hybrid Policy

9fin is a hybrid company, and the office is a regular part of how we work. From January 2027, all employees will work from their designated 9fin office on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Some teams may be asked to be in the office more often, where the nature of their work calls for it. For the rest of the week, you may work from wherever works best for you and your team. Your Talent Partner will share hybrid working details for this role.

9fin is an equal opportunities employer

At 9fin we are dedicated to building and promoting a fair and inclusive workplace where everyone can reach their full potential and truly belong. We recognize that building diverse teams enables a more creative and productive environment. If you’re excited about this role but your experience doesn’t perfectly align with the job description, we encourage you to apply anyway. You might just be who we’re looking for — either for this role, or perhaps another.
