Weave Bio role-play cheat sheet
For the mock cold call at the end of most SDR interviews.
What they sell, in one line
AI software that helps drug developers write and manage regulatory documents, such as IND filings, faster.
Who you'd be calling
Heads of Regulatory Affairs, regulatory writers, and clinical operations leaders at biotech and pharma companies
Your opener
“Hi Sam, this is Alex from Weave Bio. I'm calling because we help regulatory teams cut down the time it takes to write filings like INDs, do you have a quick minute?”
Problems you solve for them
- Regulatory documents take weeks of manual writing and checking
- Small teams have to handle a lot of filings
- Mistakes or delays can push back a drug's timeline
- Answering health authority questions is stressful and rushed
Discovery questions to ask
- How does your team put together a submission like an IND today?
- Where does the most time get lost, writing, reviewing or formatting?
- How do you handle questions that come back from regulators?
Objections they'll throw at you
“I'm busy right now.”
→ Understood, regulatory work never slows down. Can I send two lines on what we do and grab five minutes later this week?
“We're not interested.”
→ No worries. Is that because your documents process is already smooth, or is it more about trusting AI with regulated work?
“We already have a process or tool for this.”
→ That makes sense. Where does that process still take the most manual time for your team?
“Send me an email.”
→ Happy to. What type of filing is top of mind for you right now, so I can make it relevant?
Interview tips for this company
- Learn basic terms: IND (application to start testing a drug in humans), regulatory submission, FDA.
- Be humble and curious. Regulatory people care about accuracy, so don't overpromise what the AI can do.
