Objections they'll throw at you
“I'm busy right now.”
→ No problem, I'll be brief. I just want to know if dock time is a problem for you. Can I call back at a better time, say tomorrow morning?
“We're not interested.”
→ Understood. Most dock managers say that until they hear the load time can be minutes instead of an hour. What does a typical truck turnaround look like for you?
“We already use forklifts and a system that works.”
→ Forklifts are the standard, so that makes sense. Where we help is speed and safety on top of that. Would you be open to a short look at how much dock time you could save?
“Just send me an email.”
→ Sure. So it's relevant, are you more focused on faster turnaround, safety, or labor costs?
