Problems you solve for them
- Old on-premises systems that are slow and break down
- Inventory counts that are off, so stock runs out or sits unsold
- No easy way to sell online against big-box stores
Discovery questions to ask
- What system do you use today for checkout and inventory?
- How often do your counts not match what's on the shelf?
- Are customers asking to order or check stock online?
Objections they'll throw at you
“I'm busy, I've got a customer at the counter.”
→ Totally get it, I'll be quick. Can I call back at a slower time, say early tomorrow morning or after closing?
“Not interested.”
→ Fair enough, most owners I call say that at first. Just so I understand, is it that your system works well, or that switching feels like a headache?
“We already have a system we use.”
→ Good, that means you've got something to compare against. What's the one thing about it you'd change if you could?
“Just send me an email.”
→ Happy to. So I send you something useful, what's your biggest pain right now: inventory, checkout or online sales?
