QuantHub role-play cheat sheet
For the mock cold call at the end of most SDR interviews.
What they sell, in one line
A platform that assesses and builds data and AI skills for students, schools, and employers.
Who you'd be calling
Deans, department chairs, career services directors, and workforce program leads at colleges and universities.
Your opener
“Hi Dr. Lee, this is Alex from QuantHub. I know I'm calling unexpectedly. I'm reaching out because schools are under pressure to show students graduate with data and AI skills, and I wanted to ask how your team handles that.”
Problems you solve for them
- Graduates leave without proven data and AI skills
- Hard to measure whether students are actually job-ready
- Faculty have little time to build skills training from scratch
Discovery questions to ask
- How do you currently measure data or AI skills for your students?
- Are employers or accreditors asking you to show those skills?
- Who on campus decides on tools like this, and how do they get evaluated?
Objections they'll throw at you
“I'm busy right now.”
→ No problem, I'll be brief. Can I ask one quick question about how you assess data skills, and then you can tell me if it's worth a longer chat?
“We're not interested.”
→ Understood. Is that because data and AI skills aren't a focus this year, or because you've already got a way to cover them?
“We already use something for this.”
→ That's helpful to know. What do you like about it, and is there anything you wish it did better for measuring results?
“Send me an email.”
→ Sure thing. So it's relevant, are you more focused on assessing students, training them, or both?
Interview tips for this company
- Public-sector and education buyers move slowly and use committees, so show patience and ask who else is involved.
- Practice talking about 'AI literacy' in simple words, since it's their main message.
