PrePass role-play cheat sheet
For the mock cold call at the end of most SDR interviews.
What they sell, in one line
Weigh station bypass and toll transponder technology that helps trucks keep rolling and stay compliant.
Who you'd be calling
Fleet owners, safety and compliance managers, operations directors and dispatch leaders at trucking companies, from small carriers to large fleets.
Your opener
“Hi [Name], this is [You] from PrePass. We help fleets skip unnecessary weigh station stops so trucks keep moving. Do you have a minute to tell me how your drivers handle weigh stations today?”
Problems you solve for them
- Stopping at weigh stations wastes time and fuel
- Delays cut into driver hours and delivery schedules
- Toll bills and tracking are messy across many trucks
- Compliance and safety records affect costs and inspections
Discovery questions to ask
- How many trucks do you run, and where do they travel most?
- How much time do your drivers lose at weigh stations and inspections?
- How do you manage tolls today across the fleet?
Objections they'll throw at you
“I'm busy, I'm running a fleet.”
→ I get it, trucks don't wait. I'll be quick. Can I call at a better time, say early morning or end of day?
“We're not interested.”
→ No worries. Can I ask whether weigh station stops are a real cost for you, or already not a problem?
“We already use a bypass service.”
→ Good, so you know the value. How is it working for you, and are you happy with tolls and coverage on your routes?
“Just email me.”
→ Happy to. How many trucks should I mention in the note, and what's the best address? I'll follow up in a couple of days.
