Orca Security role-play cheat sheet
For the mock cold call at the end of most SDR interviews.
What they sell, in one line
A cloud security platform that scans cloud environments for risks without needing agents installed on every machine.
Who you'd be calling
CISOs, cloud security managers, security architects and DevOps leaders at enterprises using public cloud.
Your opener
“Hi Taylor, this is Alex from Orca Security. I help security teams see risks in their cloud without installing software everywhere. Is cloud visibility something on your plate?”
Problems you solve for them
- Hidden security risks across cloud accounts
- Installing agents on every workload is slow and hard to maintain
- Alert overload with no clear order of what to fix
Discovery questions to ask
- Which cloud platforms are you running today?
- How do you find risks in your cloud right now?
- How much effort does it take to keep security tools deployed across workloads?
Objections they'll throw at you
“I'm busy right now.”
→ No worries. One quick question: how do you currently spot risky cloud settings? Can we pick a better time if it's interesting?
“We're not interested.”
→ Understood. Is cloud security already well covered, or is it just not the focus right now?
“We already use something for cloud security.”
→ Good, most teams do. Does it need agents on every workload, and does that slow you down? I'd love to show you a different approach.
“Just send me an email.”
→ Sure thing. So it's relevant, are you more concerned about visibility, alert overload or compliance?
