Nozomi Networks role-play cheat sheet
For the mock cold call at the end of most SDR interviews.
What they sell, in one line
Cybersecurity software that shows what's on industrial networks and spots threats to factories, utilities and other critical systems.
Who you'd be calling
CISOs, OT security leaders and plant or operations managers at industrial companies, utilities and government agencies.
Your opener
“Hi, is this Chris? This is Alex from Nozomi Networks. I know this is out of the blue. We help industrial companies see and protect the machines that run their plants. Is now an okay time for a quick question?”
Problems you solve for them
- Teams can't see all the devices on their factory or plant network
- Old industrial equipment is hard to protect
- Attacks on operations can stop production
Discovery questions to ask
- How much visibility do you have today into the devices on your plant networks?
- Who owns security for operations equipment, IT or the plant team?
- Has an incident or an audit made OT security a priority this year?
Objections they'll throw at you
“I'm busy right now.”
→ Understood. Can I take 2 minutes next week, and which day would suit you?
“We're not interested.”
→ Fair enough. Can I ask who looks after security for your plant systems today?
“We already use Claroty or Dragos.”
→ Those are well known. A lot of teams compare a few before deciding. Would a short side-by-side be worth your time?
“Send me an email.”
→ Happy to. Are you more concerned about visibility, threat detection or compliance, so I make it relevant?
Competitors worth knowing
Claroty, Dragos, Armis
Interview tips for this company
- Learn the difference between IT and OT in plain language, and why OT is harder to secure.
- Expect long enterprise sales cycles. Show that you'd aim for a meeting and not a quick close.
