Keeper Security role-play cheat sheet
For the mock cold call at the end of most SDR interviews.
What they sell, in one line
Password manager plus privileged access management that secures logins and admin accounts for businesses and MSPs.
Who you'd be calling
IT directors, security managers and business owners at SMB and mid-market companies; MSP owners and service leads.
Your opener
“Hi Riley, this is Alex from Keeper Security. I work with IT teams on keeping passwords and admin access under control. Is that something your team is dealing with right now?”
Problems you solve for them
- Weak or shared passwords put company data at risk
- Admin accounts have too much unmonitored access
- Help desk time lost to password resets, and audit proof is hard
Discovery questions to ask
- How do your employees manage passwords today?
- Who has admin access to your key systems, and how is it tracked?
- How often does IT handle password resets or access requests?
Objections they'll throw at you
“I'm busy right now.”
→ Understood, I'll be quick. Can I ask one question on how you manage admin access? If it isn't relevant, I'll let you go.
“We're not interested.”
→ Fair enough. Is that because this is already covered, or other priorities are ahead?
“We already use something for passwords.”
→ Great. Does it also cover admin and privileged accounts, or just everyday logins? Might be worth a quick look at the gap.
“Just send me an email.”
→ Sure. To keep it relevant, which matters more: employee passwords or controlling admin access?
Competitors worth knowing
1Password, Bitwarden, LastPass, CyberArk
Interview tips for this company
- Learn the term 'privileged access management' as: controlling who can use powerful admin accounts.
- Know MSPs are a key buyer; they manage IT for other companies, so practice speaking to them.
- Be ready to explain 'zero trust' in one plain sentence: never assume anyone is safe by default.
