Objections they'll throw at you
“I'm busy right now.”
→ Understood, I'll be quick. I just want to know if you have any open engineering needs. Is there a better time this week?
“We're not interested.”
→ No worries. Is that because your engineering team has enough capacity, or because of past experience with outside firms?
“We already use something for this.”
→ Good to hear. Many companies use more than one partner. What would make you consider adding another for a new project?
“Just send me an email.”
→ Sure. So I send the right thing, are you more focused on AI, data, or general software development?
Interview tips for this company
- Understand the difference between outsourced services and a software product. Selling services means longer, relationship-based sales cycles.
- Be ready to discuss the company's focus on regulated industries and its long history, but only from its public website.
