Hypori role-play cheat sheet
For the mock cold call at the end of most SDR interviews.
What they sell, in one line
A virtual mobile device that lets people securely use work apps on personal phones without installing management software on them.
Who you'd be calling
CISOs, IT and Mobility Directors, and Security Managers at government agencies, defense contractors and large enterprises
Your opener
“Hi Chris, this is Alex from Hypori. We let your team use work apps on their own phones while keeping the data off the device. Can I ask how you handle personal phones for work today?”
Problems you solve for them
- Employees want to use personal phones, but company data on them is a security risk
- Giving out company phones is expensive and hard to manage
- Strict security rules make device management heavy and slow
Discovery questions to ask
- Do employees use personal phones for work, or do you issue devices?
- What security or compliance rules apply to mobile access?
- What's the biggest headache in managing mobile devices today?
Objections they'll throw at you
“I'm busy right now.”
→ Of course. I'll be quick. This is about mobile security without extra devices. Can we set 15 minutes later this week?
“We're not interested.”
→ Fair. Is that because mobile access is already covered, or just not a priority right now?
“We already have a mobile device management tool.”
→ Good, many teams do. Does it still require software on personal phones? We take a different approach, so what's working or not with your setup?
“Just email me something.”
→ Sure. Is your main concern security, cost or user experience, so I send the right thing?
Interview tips for this company
- Know the idea of BYOD (bring your own device) and why security teams worry about it.
- Buyers are technical and cautious. Be honest about what you don't know and offer to bring in a specialist.
