Hoxhunt role-play cheat sheet
For the mock cold call at the end of most SDR interviews.
What they sell, in one line
Training platform that teaches employees to spot phishing and reduces human-caused security risk.
Who you'd be calling
CISOs, security awareness leads, and security managers at large enterprises.
Your opener
“Hi [Name], this is [Your Name] from Hoxhunt. I'm calling because security teams I talk to are tired of annual training that nobody remembers. Do you have a quick minute to see if that's true for you too?”
Problems you solve for them
- Employees click phishing links and are the weakest link
- Old yearly security training is boring and doesn't change behavior
- Security teams can't measure which people or teams are risky
- Security teams don't have time to run training by hand
Discovery questions to ask
- How do you train employees to spot phishing today?
- How do you know if that training is actually working?
- What happens now when an employee reports a suspicious email?
Objections they'll throw at you
“I'm really busy right now.”
→ No problem, I'll be fast. Is there a better time later this week for a quick two-minute chat?
“We're not interested.”
→ Understood. Out of curiosity, are you happy with how many employees actually report phishing today?
“We already use something for this.”
→ Great, so you're already investing in it. How are you measuring whether people behave more safely after training?
“Just send me an email.”
→ Sure thing. What would be most useful for me to include: how it works, or how teams measure results?
