Objections they'll throw at you
“I'm busy right now.”
→ Totally get it, busy season is real. When would be a calmer time this month for a 10-minute chat?
“Not interested.”
→ Understood. Is that because your current process works well, or because changing tools feels like too much right now?
“We already use spreadsheets and our own tools.”
→ Lots of firms do. Where do those start to creak, such as version control, client requests, or reporting?
“Just send me an email.”
→ Happy to. What would you want to see in it: how it saves time, or how it fits your audit type? I'll follow up in a few days.
Interview tips for this company
- Learn the basics: what an audit is, and what SOC 2 and ISO 27001 are. A simple definition of each will earn you credibility.
- Auditors are careful and detail-oriented. Be precise and organized in the role play, and don't oversell.
