CompanyCam role-play cheat sheet
For the mock cold call at the end of most SDR interviews.
What they sell, in one line
A mobile app that lets contractors take, organize, and share job photos and track project progress.
Who you'd be calling
Owners, project managers, and field crew leads at roofing, remodeling, restoration, and other contracting companies.
Your opener
“Hi, this is Chris from CompanyCam. I know you're probably out on a job, so I'll be quick: I'm calling contractors about how they keep track of job photos. Got a quick minute?”
Problems you solve for them
- Disputes with customers or insurers when there's no proof of the work
- Photos get lost on personal phones and are hard to find later
- The office and the field crew aren't on the same page about job progress
Discovery questions to ask
- Where do your crews' job photos end up today?
- Have you ever had a customer or insurance company dispute work you did?
- How does the office know what's going on at a job site?
Objections they'll throw at you
“I'm on a job site, I'm busy.”
→ Totally understand, I'll let you go. When's a better time to catch you, maybe early morning or end of day?
“I'm not interested.”
→ No worries. Just curious, though: if a customer disputed your work tomorrow, could you pull up the photos fast?
“We already take photos on our phones.”
→ Lots of crews do. What happens when you need a specific photo from a job six months ago, how long does it take to find?
“Just send me an email.”
→ Sure thing. So it's relevant, are you more worried about proof of work or keeping the office in the loop?

Interview tips for this company
- Think about a time you needed proof of something with a photo. It helps you speak about why documentation protects a contractor.
- Keep your language simple and practical: contractors respond to saving time and avoiding headaches, not tech jargon.
