Clueso role-play cheat sheet
For the mock cold call at the end of most SDR interviews.
What they sell, in one line
AI video platform that turns screen recordings into polished product videos and help content for teams.
Who you'd be calling
Heads of Marketing, Product Marketing, L&D/Enablement, Customer Education and Product leaders at software and mid-size companies.
Your opener
“Hi Jordan, this is Alex from Clueso. I know I'm interrupting your day. We help teams turn a quick screen recording into a polished product video. Is making tutorial or training videos something your team does?”
Problems you solve for them
- Making product demos and training videos takes days of recording, editing and voiceover
- Videos go out of date every time the product changes
- Teams need the same video in many languages and formats
- Small teams can't keep up with demand for tutorials and onboarding content
Discovery questions to ask
- How do you make product or training videos today, and how long does one take?
- What happens to those videos when the product changes?
- Who asks you for the most video content: customers, sales or new hires?
Objections they'll throw at you
“I'm busy right now.”
→ No problem, I'll be brief. Would it be easier if I sent a 2-minute example and checked back Thursday?
“We're not interested.”
→ Fair enough. Is that because video isn't a big need, or because it's already handled well? I don't want to waste your time.
“We already use something for video.”
→ Makes sense, lots of teams do. How long does it take you to update a video when something in the product changes?
“Send me an email.”
→ Sure thing. What kind of video would be most useful to see in it: product demos, how-to guides or training?

Interview tips for this company
- This is a Founding AE job, not an SDR job, so be ready to talk about owning the whole sales cycle and working without a ready-made playbook.
- Show comfort with ambiguity and with doing your own prospecting; early-stage teams want builders.
- Try the product beforehand if you can and mention what you noticed.
