Camunda role-play cheat sheet
For the mock cold call at the end of most SDR interviews.
What they sell, in one line
Software that lets large companies design, automate and manage business processes, including AI-driven ones.
Who you'd be calling
Heads of IT, enterprise architects, digital transformation and operations leaders at large enterprises.
Your opener
“Hi Taylor, this is Alex from Camunda, thanks for picking up. We help large companies automate and manage complex processes across their systems, and I wanted to see how your team approaches that today.”
Problems you solve for them
- Business processes are spread across many systems and are hard to see end to end
- Automation projects are slow, brittle and stuck with developers
- Companies want to add AI to processes but need control and visibility
Discovery questions to ask
- Which business processes are the hardest to automate or track end to end today?
- How do your teams build and manage workflows now, and who owns them?
- Are you looking at adding AI agents into any of those processes?
Objections they'll throw at you
“I don't have time right now.”
→ No problem. Can I follow up at a better time, or point me to who owns process automation on your side?
“We're not interested.”
→ Understood. Is process automation not a focus right now, or is it already handled?
“We already use ServiceNow or Pega.”
→ Many teams do. Where do those fall short when processes cross multiple systems or need custom logic?
“Send me an email.”
→ Of course. Which type of process would be most useful for me to show you an example of?
Competitors worth knowing
Pega, Appian, ServiceNow
