C1 role-play cheat sheet
For the mock cold call at the end of most SDR interviews.
What they sell, in one line
Identity security software that controls who has access to what, including AI agents, across a company's systems.
Who you'd be calling
CISOs, IT security and identity and access management (IAM) leaders at large companies.
Your opener
“Hi Chris, this is Alex from C1. I know this is out of the blue, so I'll be brief. We help security teams control who and what has access to their systems, including AI agents, and I wanted to ask how you handle access reviews today.”
Problems you solve for them
- Employees keep access they no longer need, creating security and audit risk
- Access reviews and approvals are slow, manual and done in spreadsheets
- New AI agents and non-human accounts add access that nobody is tracking
Discovery questions to ask
- How do you handle access requests and periodic access reviews today?
- How are you keeping track of AI agents and service accounts that have access to your systems?
- What happens at audit time, and how much manual work does it take your team?
Objections they'll throw at you
“I'm busy.”
→ Of course. Would a short call later this week work, or is there someone else on your identity team I should ask?
“Not interested.”
→ Understood. Is access governance well covered right now, or is it something you're looking at later?
“We already use Okta or SailPoint.”
→ Those are widely used. Are you happy with how fast access reviews and requests run, and do they cover AI agents?
“Send me an email.”
→ Sure. So it's useful, is your bigger concern audits and compliance, or controlling access for AI?
Competitors worth knowing
SailPoint, Okta, Saviynt
