Aviatrix role-play cheat sheet
For the mock cold call at the end of most SDR interviews.
What they sell, in one line
Software that sets and enforces one security policy across all of a company's cloud workloads and networks.
Who you'd be calling
Cloud security leaders, CISOs, cloud architects and platform/network engineering heads at large enterprises running multiple clouds.
Your opener
“Hi [Name], this is [You] from Aviatrix. I know I'm calling out of the blue. Do you have 30 seconds to tell you why I called, and then you can tell me if it's worth continuing?”
Problems you solve for them
- Security rules differ in every cloud, so gaps appear between them
- Attackers who get in can move sideways between workloads
- Hard to see which cloud workloads are talking to each other
- Security and cloud teams juggle many separate tools
Discovery questions to ask
- How many clouds are you running today, and who owns security across them?
- If something got in on one workload, how confident are you it couldn't spread to others?
- How do you currently see and control traffic between your cloud environments?
Objections they'll throw at you
“I'm busy right now.”
→ Totally get it, I'll be quick. Would it be okay if I took 30 seconds to explain, and if it's not relevant I'll let you go?
“We're not interested.”
→ Fair enough. Can I ask what's driving that, is cloud security already in good shape, or just not a priority this year?
“We already use something for cloud security.”
→ Good, most teams do. What I hear is those tools often cover one cloud well but leave gaps between them. How do you handle consistency across clouds today?
“Just send me an email.”
→ Happy to. So I send something useful, what's the biggest cloud security headache on your plate right now?
Interview tips for this company
- Learn the plain-English idea: one policy that follows workloads across every cloud, and stops attackers spreading.
- Be ready to say what 'multicloud' means and why it makes security harder; you don't need to be technical, just curious.
