Arch role-play cheat sheet
For the mock cold call at the end of most SDR interviews.
What they sell, in one line
Software that tracks, organizes and reports on private investments like funds, private equity and real estate in one place.
Who you'd be calling
Wealth advisors, family office leaders, private bank teams, and operations or reporting heads at investment firms.
Your opener
“Hi [Name], this is [You] from Arch. I know I'm calling out of the blue. Do you have 30 seconds to tell you why I called, and then you can decide if it's worth more time?”
Problems you solve for them
- Private investment data arrives in PDFs and emails, so someone has to type it in by hand
- Reports to clients or owners are slow and error-prone
- No single view across private and public holdings
Discovery questions to ask
- How do you track your clients' private investments today, spreadsheets, a system, or an outside provider?
- When a capital call or K-1 arrives, who handles it and how long does it take?
- How often do you have to rebuild reports for clients or partners by hand?
Objections they'll throw at you
“I'm busy right now.”
→ Totally fair, I'll be quick. Would it be better if I grabbed 15 minutes on your calendar later this week instead?
“We're not interested.”
→ Understood, I don't know enough about your setup yet to say if it's a fit. Can I ask just one question about how you track private investments today?
“We already use something for that.”
→ Good, that means you already take reporting seriously. What do you like about it, and is there any part your team still does by hand?
“Just send me an email.”
→ Happy to. So I send you something useful and not generic, what's the biggest headache in your private investment reporting right now?
