AiDASH role-play cheat sheet
For the mock cold call at the end of most SDR interviews.
What they sell, in one line
Satellite imagery and AI software that helps electric utilities manage vegetation, grid assets, storms and wildfire risk.
Who you'd be calling
Vegetation management, grid resilience, wildfire mitigation and asset management leaders at electric utilities
Your opener
“Hi [Name], this is [Your Name] from AiDASH. I know your team is busy keeping the lights on. Do you have 30 seconds for me to ask how you keep an eye on vegetation near your lines?”
Problems you solve for them
- Trees near power lines cause outages and wildfire risk
- Field inspections across a huge grid are slow and expensive
- Storm and wildfire planning needs better, timely data
Discovery questions to ask
- How do you monitor vegetation risk across your service area today?
- How often do you get fresh data on the condition of your grid?
- How do you plan for storm or wildfire season?
Objections they'll throw at you
“I'm busy right now.”
→ Understood, I'll be quick. Can we schedule 15 minutes next week that fits around your schedule?
“Not interested.”
→ No problem. Is vegetation and wildfire risk already well covered, or just not top of mind?
“We already have a vendor or process for this.”
→ That's helpful to know. How well does it show you risk across the whole grid, and how often is it updated?
“Just send me an email.”
→ Sure. Is your focus more on vegetation, storms or wildfire, so I send the right info?
