- 1Pick 2–3 people at MetaviewWe found 11 current reps: 11 AEs. SDRs reply the most; they were in your shoes recently. See them ↓
- 2Send a short, curious noteAsk about their experience, not for a referral. We write it for you, with the role and what Metaview sells.
- 3Have a 15-minute chatGood questions for this role:
- What does a normal day look like for you?
- How did you land the job? What stood out in your interviews?
- How is the team doing on quota? What separates the people who hit it?
- How long do SDRs usually stay before moving up to AE?
- 4Apply, ideally with a referralIf the chat went well, ask if they'd refer you or point you to the hiring manager. Then apply and let them know so they can flag it.
- 5Prep for the role playSDR interviews almost always end in a mock cold call. Practice with the Metaview cheat sheet and the role-play guide.

Full job description
Metaview is an AI company focused on recruiting. We build AI agents that help world-class companies hire with radically more speed and precision. We automate the toil, and augment the human for companies like Brex, Affirm, Deel, ElevenLabs, and Airtable.
Founded by Siadhal and Shahriar after their experiences scaling Uber and Palantir, we’ve raised $110m from top-tier investors including Google Ventures and Insight Partners.
It’s still day 0: Now is the time to re-engineer how work gets done with AI at the core, and our toughest challenges still lie ahead. We’re looking for people seeking the hardest, most fulfilling work of their lives.
How we work
Four principles guide us:
Velocity.
Optimize for rate of learning. Take action, get feedback, get better.
Hospitality.
Sweat the experience. Delight customers, candidates and colleagues, even when it’s inconvenient.
Transparency.
Public unless private. Share context openly within the company so people and agents can take initiative.
End-to-end.
Deliver outcomes, not tasks. Step beyond your job description and see the work through.
The role:
We’re hiring our first dedicated Mid-Market Sales Manager in San Francisco, alongside a counterpart in New York. Each manager owns revenue, people, and performance for the Mid-Market segment in their market; in San Francisco, you’ll report to the VP of Sales. The playbook is largely written and productive AE teams are already in place, but neither market has a finished system. You’ll build on that foundation with a high-agency team that moves fast and owns its pipeline. In your first three months, you’ll work with Recruiting to fill open roles, assess each rep’s development needs, and show measurable impact on the segment forecast through hands-on deal coaching and a stronger operating cadence.
Key ownership areas:
Own Mid-Market quota, revenue performance, and the segment forecast in San Francisco.
Recruit, onboard, lead, coach, and develop quota-carrying Mid-Market AEs, partnering with Recruiting to fill open roles and creating individual development plans from a team gap analysis.
Reinforce pipeline generation standards and MEDDPICC deal qualification, adapting the existing playbook to the team’s needs rather than building a new one from scratch.
Run pipeline-generation prep and wrap-ups, weekly pipeline and forecast reviews, and the reporting needed to see where performance needs attention.
Work alongside reps on live deals, offering direct coaching that improves deal conversion and consistency; partner with sales enablement and PMM to turn training and methodology into daily practice.
What you bring:
A record of leading quota-carrying sales teams to consistent quota performance in a high-velocity motion, with the ability to have an impact from the start.
