- 1Pick 2–3 people at CursorWe found 17 current reps: 3 SDRs, 14 AEs. SDRs reply the most; they were in your shoes recently. See them ↓
- 2Send a short, curious noteAsk about their experience, not for a referral. We write it for you, with the role and what Cursor sells.
- 3Have a 15-minute chatGood questions for this role:
- What was your path from SDR to where you are now?
- How did you land the job? What stood out in your interviews?
- The role is mostly outbound. How much is calling vs. email vs. LinkedIn?
- How is the team doing on quota? What separates the people who hit it?
- 4Apply, ideally with a referralIf the chat went well, ask if they'd refer you or point you to the hiring manager. Then apply and let them know so they can flag it.
- 5Prep for the role playSDR interviews almost always end in a mock cold call. Practice with the Cursor cheat sheet and the role-play guide.

Full job description
SpaceX was founded under the belief that a future where humanity is out exploring the stars is fundamentally more exciting than one where we are not. Today, SpaceX is actively developing the technologies to make this possible, with the ultimate goal of making life multiplanetary and expanding consciousness to the stars.
SpaceXSI is building Super Intelligence to help humanity understand the universe. Our teams are building the full Super Intelligence stack: from our Colossus supercomputers, to Grok models, to our suite of applications, including Grok Bot, Grok Build, Grok Imagine, Grok Voice, and X. We're creating a powerful flywheel where more compute trains better models, better models power more useful products, and what we learn from people using those products shapes what we build next.
About the role
As a Commercial Account Executive at SpaceXAI, you'll drive revenue growth by building strategic relationships with customers and helping them realize the full potential of Cursor for their development teams. You'll cover the full spectrum, from high velocity fast-growing startups to more complex Mid-Market deals, adapting your playbook to each.
You'll work closely with engineering organizations to understand their development workflows, demonstrate how Cursor transforms developer productivity, and guide them through evaluation, implementation, and expansion. This role combines technical fluency with sales expertise to help companies reimagine how software gets built with AI.
What you'll do
Win new business and drive revenue for SpaceXAI. Find your way to the right people at prospective customers, educate them about AI-powered development, and help them succeed. You'll own the full sales cycle, from first call to close
Become a trusted product expert; guide prospects through trials, evaluations, and rollouts
Build and manage a healthy high velocity pipeline, meeting and exceeding quarterly targets
Lead multi-threaded sales cycles across Engineering, Product, Security, Procurement, and Legal
Develop executive relationships and day-to-day champions within each account
Quantify value with clear ROI cases tied to developer productivity and AI adoption
Design and execute innovative sales strategies; analyze market trends and translate high-level plans into targeted activities and campaigns
Be the voice of the customer and influence the roadmap with actionable feedback
Continuously refine the sales methodology by incorporating learnings into playbooks, templates, and best practices
You may be a fit if
You have 3+ years of closing experience in tech sales, ideally selling developer tools, technical SaaS, or emerging technologies
You have a consistent track record of landing new logos and exceeding quota and managing a high velocity of deals
