SDR and BDR jobs are entry-level seats, and the requirements are usually a wish list. Customer-facing work (retail, serving, teaching, recruiting, sports) counts. Your best move is to message one of the insiders below before you apply.
What you'd actually do: Follow up on inbound marketing leads, re-engage stale opportunities, and run outbound outreach to qualify wealth management prospects for Sales.
Most people just hit Apply. Do these first and you show up with someone on the inside.
A friendly message to a current rep is the best way to stand out. Ask about their experience, not for a referral.

Job Description
Jacksonville, FL
As a Sales Development Representative (SDR) in the Wealth business, you're a critical link in our new business pipeline by converting marketing-qualified interest into sales-qualified opportunities and high-quality handoff to Sales. You’ll own initial prospect outreach, qualification, and early discovery to determine fit, urgency, and next steps.
The SDR will own initial outreach, maintain strong CRM discipline and use the standard sales tech stack to execute outreach and log activity, including:
Salesforce (lead/contact/account/opportunity management; reporting & forecasting)
LinkedIn Sales Navigator
Sales engagement & cadence tool
Email/calendar sync via Einstein Activity Capture
Contact data sources
Highspot

SS&C combines proprietary technology with deep industry expertise to support complex financial and health care operations. Our teams design, implement, and operate solutions that help clients manage data, automate processes, and scale their businesses with confidence.
You will work with industry experts, modern platforms, and evolving technologies, gaining exposure to real-world operational challenges and large-scale enterprise environments.
Own initial outreach for inbound marketing-qualified leads (MQLs) to determine whether engagement represents a legitimate sales opportunity.
Capture key details about prospect needs, environment, and buying intent; document clean notes to support the Sales handoff.
Help generate additional interest across relevant Wealth solutions during initial conversations (positioning adjacent capabilities when appropriate).
Handle initial outreach on all MQLs prior to opportunity creation, except “hot leads” routed directly to Sales.
Partner with Sales to identify stale opportunities for focused outreach and re-engagement.
Execute targeted campaigns tied to new/available solutions, using defined lead characteristics to build target lists.
Experienced SDRs will be able to run outbound outreach to net-new or not-yet-MQL leads to create SDR-sourced opportunities.
Build campaign motions across email/phone/LinkedIn using repeatable cadences and strong personalization.
1–3 years' experience in a customer-facing or sales environment (inside sales, SDR/BDR, client services, or similar)
Strong written and verbal communication — comfortable speaking with professionals in financial services.
Comfort with structured outreach and follow-up cadence; ability to handle rejection and stay persistent.
Ability to manage activity and outcomes in Salesforce (or another CRM) with strong attention to detail.
(preferred qualifications)
Exposure to wealth management / RIA / asset management
Experience with Salesforce, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, sales engagement/cadence tools, Highspot, or contact databases
Experience with Black Diamond Wealth Solutions products or competing solutions
