Your game plan for this job
0 of 5 doneMost people just hit Apply. Do these first and you show up with someone on the inside.
- 1Pick 2–3 people at UnwrapWe haven't found reps here yet. Search LinkedIn for "sales development Unwrap".
- 2Send a short, curious noteAsk about their experience, not for a referral. We write it for you, with the role and what Unwrap sells.
- 3Have a 15-minute chatGood questions for this role:
- What does a normal day look like for you?
- How did you land the job? What stood out in your interviews?
- The role is mostly outbound. How much is calling vs. email vs. LinkedIn?
- The posting mentions Clay, Apollo. How much of your day is in those tools?
- 4Apply, ideally with a referralIf the chat went well, ask if they'd refer you or point you to the hiring manager. Then apply and let them know so they can flag it.
- 5Prep for the role playSDR interviews almost always end in a mock cold call. Practice with the Unwrap cheat sheet and the role-play guide.
Talk to someone at Unwrap before you apply
A friendly message to a current rep is the best way to stand out. Ask about their experience, not for a referral.
Full job description
Do you love sales? Are you one of the most ambitious people you know? If so, you'll be right at home at Unwrap.
This is not a typical BDR role. While the end goal is the same - drum up new business for Unwrap by building lasting relationships with prospects - the means by which you'll achieve this are constantly changing. This is because your toolset is constantly evolving, given the exciting time we're living in with AI-forward sales tools.
You'll be expected to possess timeless sales skills, like targeting the perfect prospects and reaching them with compelling messaging, but you'll also have freedom to scale your outreach efforts through automation. You will need to feel comfortable working with modern tooling (e.g. Clay, Apollo, etc.) to reach more prospects than was possible even 2 years ago.
Who We Are
Unwrap.ai is on a mission to fill the world with products people love. We’re helping companies like DoorDash, Lyft, Stripe, Oura, Microsoft, Perplexity, and Github collect and process feedback more effectively. We ingest feedback from thousands of sources (support channels, surveys, social), and use state-of-the-art NLP technology to extract actionable insights for customers across software, hardware, and retail sectors.
We’re currently a team of 40, based in Santa Barbara, and growing quickly. We are venture-backed, and just raised our $12M Series A from world-leading VCs.
Our founders, two ex-Amazon Alexa Product Managers, were tired of manually sifting through customer reviews, support tickets, and bugs while working on Alexa. They understood the importance of listening to customers and prioritizing their requests effectively, but simply had too much feedback to parse through. So, Unwrap.ai was born to solve this problem. Specifically, at Unwrap we use Natural Language Processing to automatically cluster, tag, and analyze customer feedback to help product and engineering teams build what customers want. The ultimate goal is to better connect users and builders, so builders can fill the world with products people love.
Our small team is extremely motivated, hard-working, and simply gets stuff done. If this sounds exciting, we can't wait to read your application.
