Opens the job on CopyCat AI's own careers site. Some companies ask you to create an account or click through another page first.
What you'd actually do: Call inbound demo requests, run demos and close small and mid-sized insurance agencies on an AI workspace, usually in one or two calls.
Most people just hit Apply. Do these first and you show up with someone on the inside.
A friendly message to a current rep is the best way to stand out. Ask about their experience, not for a referral.
CopyCat AI (runcopycat.com) is the AI workspace for insurance agencies. There are more than 40,000 independent agencies in the US, and we want to power every one of them. We're backed by Y Combinator (W25), Flex Capital and the a16z scout fund.
Agencies and brokers across the US use CopyCat to:
Turn carrier quotes and coverage details into client-ready proposals in 90 seconds.
pull applications, loss runs and emails into structured data instead of retyping them.
turn carrier quotes into clean side-by-side comparisons for clients.
keep the renewal pipeline moving without a producer chasing every file.
read through contracts and flag the terms and gaps that matter for coverage.
compare issued policies against quotes and applications to catch discrepancies before clients do.
Most customers are live within a 2 days. We answer customer emails in about five minutes and usually fix issues within hours, which is a big part of why agencies stay and refer their friends.
The company is two founders today: Abhi Balijepalli (Product & Engineering) and Graham Sabin (Sales & GTM). You'd be the first sales hire working directly with Graham.
We have more demand than two founders can call back, which is why this role exists.
40 to 60% month over month.
our product processes thousands of pages of carrier quotes and proprietary agency data every day.
on busy days we get around 10 demo requests, and every one of them gets a call from a founder today. Soon that call comes from you.
we've beaten a much larger competitor in a head-to-head bakeoff with fewer products and fewer logos.
we have conference booths booked through the end of the year and active relationships with agency associations.
You'll own the full sales cycle for small and mid-sized agencies, from first dial to signed contract. Deals are usually a one- or two-call close: an agency owner sees the product working on their own kind of files and decides.
You'll work directly with both founders, help write the playbook instead of inheriting one, and have a real path to leading the sales team as we hire behind you.
